2014 – 2024

The path to chrome

The founders of Geometry spent seven years, from 2014 to 2021, working for an international construction group in Africa, building diplomatic buildings for a foreign government in six countries: Cameroon, Guinea, Niger, Ghana, Zambia and Chad. In the same period, with the same group, they also installed a water transmission line in the Republic of Georgia and repaired the emergency spillway of a large dam in Nigeria. In 2021 they entered the minerals business, trading copper in Zambia. In May 2023 Geometry moved to Zimbabwe through a lithium agreement with an international commodities group, and later started its first chrome production in Mashonaland West, together with local partners. In June 2024 it incorporated Geometry Mining (Private) Limited to invest directly in the country.

Production today

Through our participation as investment partners in a plant at Lalapanzi, Zimbabwe, we currently produce 2,500 tonnes per month of chrome concentrate with a grade of 48% Cr2O3. The concentrate is exported through the port of Beira, Mozambique.

Title and licences, verified

We hold all the licences required to operate and to develop our projects, and all of them are in force. Our next project is covered by a joint venture agreement, signed in December 2025, that gives Geometry Mining exclusive rights to extract, process and sell the chrome concentrate. In 2026 the project went through an exhaustive due diligence process for prospective investors, which verified the company documents, the mining title, the land tenure, the boundary coordinates and the tax status. Comprehensive geological reports document the grade of the alluvial chrome and the estimated chrome resource.

Projects in development

Our next projects are on the Great Dyke in Zimbabwe. The first is Darwendale, 64 km north-west of Harare, within a Special Grant. Three sampling campaigns have been completed to map the grade of the alluvial chrome and to estimate the chrome resource. The first study was carried out in January 2026 by Geo Delta Zimbabwe, with the samples analysed at Zimlab. The second report is dated 1 July 2026 and was prepared by Energy Concept Incorporated, with the samples analysed at Performance Laboratories: pits dug to bedrock, samples every 30 cm and quality control with certified standards. The third report is dated 14 August 2026 and was prepared by the same independent geological firm, as part of an investor's due diligence.

We plan to install up to four washing plants at Darwendale, in clusters of two plants. The first cluster will have a combined production of 10,000 tonnes per month of chrome concentrate. Installation is planned to start in December 2026, commissioning in March 2027 and production in April 2027. For the remaining land of the farm, approximately 820 hectares, a preliminary study indicates chrome similar to that of the first cluster, and we have a preliminary mining plan. Once the first cluster is in production, we will carry out the second and third stages of analysis to complete the map of the area.

Beyond Darwendale, we are carrying out exploration work at several gold mines. The aim is to estimate the mineral resource, in tonnage and grade, and to build a geological model of the mineralisation, which will be the basis of the financial model.

Darwendale → port chosen by the buyer

From plant to port

With its own fleet of long-haul trucks, Geometry will offer a complete logistics service from the Darwendale plant to the loading port chosen by the buyer. The service will include the export permit, which the plant will hold under its investment licence.

How we work

Our approach

Our mission is to supply chrome concentrate of consistent grade from Zimbabwe to international buyers, delivered through our own logistics to the port of their choice. Before investing in a project, we sample the grade, verify the title and confirm the licences. We develop in stages, in clusters of two plants.
